David Ledesma, known for his work with the band LaDezz, has released his first solo single, “Quedate Conmigo”. This marks a new chapter in his musical journey since leaving LaDezz, a band he shared with his brothers Mark and Richie Ledesma, along with Lisa Mar. The band released their self-titled debut album in 2022.
David opened up about his decision to leave the band during an interview with “Bumper’s Wacky Wednesday” at the Vegas Tejano Takeover in Las Vegas, Nevada. He reflected on his time with LaDezz and expressed his desire to explore his own music.
“We’ve been doing LaDezz for about eight years, you know, that we’ve been together. And sometimes you want to do your own music, do a little bit of something different, you know what I’m saying?” David told host Bumper Gomez. He emphasized that his decision to go solo was not due to any disagreements or conflicts within the band. “My brother supports me, man, you know, everything, there’s no bad blood. There’s no beef. I mean, he understood.”
David’s brother, Mark Ledesma, has also had his share of collaborations with other artists, having worked with David Lee Garza and Grupo Alamo. This experience, David believes, helped his brother understand his decision to go solo.
David’s new single, “Quedate Conmigo”, is the first glimpse of his upcoming solo project. He shared his excitement about the project and his plans for a full album. “I’m currently working on an album right now. I got the one song out, ‘Quedate Conmigo’ is the first single off the album that’s coming out. And we will have either an EP, just depending on how many songs we’re going to make, but it will be a full production. It’ll be done by the end of the year, hopefully, if not the very beginning of the year, next year. We got about three or four in the chamber right now, and we’re working on a couple more.”
With “Quedate Conmigo”, David Ledesma is stepping into a new phase of his musical career. His fans and the Tejano music community eagerly await the release of his full album. Stay tuned for more updates on David Ledesma’s solo journey.
