The 20th anniversary of the Vegas Tejano Takeover this past weekend at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, was a resounding success. Tejano music fans from all over gathered for the four-day event, which was filled with amazing performances and legendary comebacks.
Tejano music legends Elsa Garcia and Grupo Culturas, along with Jennifer Peña, made their much-anticipated returns to the stage, delighting fans with their timeless hits and captivating performances. Today’s Tejano stars were not left out of the celebration. La Mafia, David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales, Jay Perez, Los Palominos, Marcos Orozco, and Stefani Montiel, were the big names that graced the stage. Their performances were a blend of the classic and the contemporary, showcasing the evolution of Tejano music over the years.
Emerging artists like Laura Denisse y Los Brillantes, El Gallo Dez, and many others also had the opportunity to perform. Their fresh takes on Tejano music added a vibrant touch to the event, hinting at the exciting future of the genre.
