The Delta Boyz Sweep the 3rd Annual Guadalupe Conjunto Awards

San Antonio, TX — The Delta Boyz took home the most hardware at the 3rd annual Guadalupe Productions Conjunto Awards on Saturday (Jun. 29) in San Antonio, Texas, as the band swept all categories they received nominations.

The Delta Boyz won 7 awards including Conjunto Band of the Year and Single of the Year for “2G’s Medley”. Frontman Javier Gonzalez was named Male Vocalist of the Year and tied for Accordion Player of the Year with David Farias. The band members also dominated the musician awards with Bajo Player of the Year for Jaime Gonzalez, Bass Player of the Year for Eddie Gonzalez, and Drummer of the Year for Tury Alviar.

Cindy Ramos won Female Vocalist of the Year and Jesse Perez Y Sus Compadres Alegres won New & Upcoming Conjunto Band of the Year.

Many legends were also recognized with Lifetime Achievement including Santiago Jimenez, Flaco Jimenez, Mingo Saldivar, Eddie Lalo Torres, Mike Carrillo, Edgar Vasquez, and Henry Calderon.

The night was filled with amazing performances from The Delta Boyz, Mando Y La Venganza, Cindy Ramos, Conjunto Firme, and Franky y Johnny con su Conjunto Diferencia. The future of Conjunto was also on display with young performers showcase.
