Michael Salgado Discusses New Cumbia Collab with MC Magic, Upcoming Corrido with Ramon Ayala

Two-time Latin Grammy winner Michael Salgado is making waves in the Tejano music scene with his latest collaborations. In an exclusive interview with Tejano Nation, Salgado shared insights into his musical journey and upcoming projects.

Salgado recently released a new collaboration with rapper MC Magic titled “Para Siempre.” This love song, written by MC Magic for his wife, is a departure from Salgado’s usual style. He said, “For me it was a little bit of a different style. The song came together really great, MC Magic and I worked really great together and we vibed really well together.”

Despite the difference in genres, the collaboration was a success, with MC Magic infusing the track with his unique flavor. Salgado added, “It’s a song that’s for anybody that is in love. It has really great lyrics, so make sure to check it out.” “Para Siempre” is now available on all digital platforms.

In addition to his work with MC Magic, Salgado is also looking forward to an upcoming collaboration with music legend Ramon Ayala. Salgado shared, “Ramon Ayala called me up himself and said there is a corrido that was written for me and I thought of you being the one to sing it.” Honored by the personal invitation, Salgado recorded the corrido at Freddie Records in Corpus Christi. The song, which tells the story of Ayala’s life, is set to be released later this year.

Salgado’s collaborations with MC Magic and Ramon Ayala highlight his versatility as an artist and his commitment to bringing diverse musical experiences to his fans. As he continues to explore new styles and partnerships, Salgado remains a dynamic force in the Tejano music industry.
