Vibrant Rhythms Talent Search is a new talent showcase competition hosted by the multi-award-winning Tejano singer and Grand Prairie native, Monica Saldivar. The competition is set to begin on June 13th at the Epic Theater in Grand Prairie, Texas.
“I am extremely excited to announce that yours truly will be the host of The Epic’s NEW Vibrant Rhythm Showcase Competition,” shared Saldivar. “We are looking for local talent of all ages to come out and show us what you got.”
The competition is open to musical talents of all genres, welcoming original music, covers, solo performances, and band performances. With three dates announced for the open talent search – June 13th, July 11th, and August 8th – participants will have the opportunity to perform from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM and potentially become part of an Epic fall series.
Saldivar’s vision for the competition extends beyond discovering talent; it’s about creating a nurturing environment for up-and-coming artists. “With the Epic, they have a recording studio, a podcast booth, a theater. And so we’re trying to promote and implement new artists so that they have a rite of passage, if you will,” she explained.
Reflecting on her own journey, Saldivar, a three-time Tejano Music Awards winner, emphasized the importance of guidance and mentorship, which she aims to provide through this initiative. “I had to kind of figure out a path on my own, too. So with this, I’m wanting to help Create Epic, not just find local talent within the community, but also help them and mentor them into the right direction that they want to go, regardless of the genre,” she said.
The Vibrant Rhythms Talent Search promises an evening full of surprises, creativity, and inspiring talent. Interested participants can register now for their chance to shine as the next star. For more information, visit jointheepic.com and follow @CreateTexas on social media.

The Epic is reimagining recreation by showcasing industry leading fitness, athletics, aquatics, fine arts, media arts, and youth activities all in one incredible 120,000 square foot facility in Grand Prairie, Texas.
