In an unexpected twist of events, Grammy-winning artist AB Quintanilla III made a surprise appearance at Winters Bar in Pasadena, Texas, on Sunday, May 26. This came after Quintanilla and his band, Los Kumbia Allstarz, were no longer slated to perform at the Memorial Weekend Bash in Victoria, Texas, that same night.
Despite the sudden change in plans, Quintanilla and his band delivered a powerful performance filled with hits that lasted for an hour. The special concert was a treat for the fans who had gathered at Winters Bar, turning the evening into a memorable one.
Before the show, Quintanilla shared some exciting news about his future plans in an impromptu interview with promoter Mike Barron of Mikey Mike Promotions. The interview, conducted by his tour bus, was captured in a video announcing his performance.
“I got me right now a part that you’ll see me on Netflix real soon as an actor. I’m also doing a TV reality show that’s about to go air on NBC. I’ve got beautiful things going, still putting new music together,” Quintanilla revealed.
Quintanilla’s availability to perform in Pasadena on Sunday came as a surprise, especially after he was “shocked” to learn that he had been cancelled from the Memorial Weekend Bash in Victoria, Texas, on May 26. Despite the unexpected turn of events, Quintanilla’s pop-up performance at Winters Bar proved to be a hit, showcasing his versatility and commitment to his fans.
