The honeymoon is over.

The much-anticipated Casate Conmigo Tour with Jesse Turner and Grupo Siggno, featuring Jennifer Peña, in her long-awaited return to the stage, has ended abruptly and with no explanation, only the absence of one its two main stars.

In a video statement, Peña, the talented and adored Tejano/Latin music star, spoke decisively and eloquently as she switched between Spanish and English to “address a few of your concerns” and “things that I am hearing.”

Looking calm and confident in the brief video, which was posted on her official Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, the charismatic performer, who last fall triumphantly returned to the music scene after 16 years, never mentioned anyone by name. She also never referred to the Casate Conmigo Tour, where she impressed crowds since early February, as the featured performer, sharing the stage with popular lead vocalist Turner and his hit-making Grupo Siggno.

“Primeramente, si en los ultimos tres meses, you’ve been to any event and been told I did not show up, I was either never informed or confirmed for that event in the first place,” Peña said.

“Secondly, if you are unsure about my confirmed performance or appearance for a date near you, quedate pendiente de mis redes sociales oficiales para información exacta,” she said. “I will be posting all of my appearances here. This is also to say that if it is not being announced here, it is not within my plans to be present.”

Her third and final point was perhaps the most accusatory and one that will likely prove most disappointing to fans who planned to see her on the Casate Conmigo Tour.

“If you were planning on joining me in the next couple of months and no longer see me on the lineup, please know that these cancellations are not on my behalf,” Peña said. “This is not how I work. I pride myself on my work ethic and clear communication.”

She continued, “I do understand that confusion sometimes happens when others are given the opportunity to communicate on my behalf, but that is not how I work, and I will not have people thinking otherwise when it is within my power to clarify, so I wanted to take a second and clarify.”

Peña, who is confirmed to perform for the 2024 Memorial Weekend Bash in Victoria, Texas, where Grupo Siggno will also perform, did respond to our request for comment with a positive outlook on the situation, but with no exact details about the separation from the Casate Conmigo Tour.

“I am proud of the song we wrote together, and we had some pretty awesome moments on the tour,” Peña told Tejano Nation exclusively. “There’s a reason and a season for everything, and you have to know when it’s time to move on. I choose and will always choose to focus on the good and what the future has in store for all is us.”

She ended with the emoji of two hands forming a heart.

In recent months, Turner and Peña, had thrilled fans with their palpable chemistry as they interacted in videos online that showed them dancing, singing along to the radio as they drove, and out eating. But as of late, the likeable pair had been noticeably absent from Instagram and TikTok. Some fans even asked online about Pena’s absence from the tour, with no response given.

On Grupo Siggno’s and Turner’s Instagrams, the last post that featured Peña, and has her as a co-author on the post, is from March 26 at a concert in Alice, Texas. An April 7 concert in Mesquite, Texas, featured Peña. After this, she is no longer mentioned on the profiles as Turner and Siggno promote cumbia band, Cesar K-Oso, and most recently, a concert with Mexican pop group, La Casetera.

Peña, who exudes energy or “jenergy” as she posts it, once again showed her penchant for looking ahead with hope and positive vibes.

Switching to Spanish again to finish her video statement, she seemed to accept whatever situation caused her to split from the much talked-about tour with the popular Turner and Grupo Siggno.

“La vida nos regala etapas de aprendizaje, organización y ejecución, and when doors open and close, I choose to see it as a natural and seamless transition from one stage or season to another,” said Peña. “For the next few months, I’m going to be focusing on continuing to build my team, producing and creating more music, and content, and preparing mentally and physically for all of the plans that God has for me and for my family.”

True to her bubbly personality, the Princess of Tejano Music closed on an upbeat note.

“Thank you so much for your support,” Peña said. “Gracias por el apoyo. Que viva la música y nos vemos pronto!”

Peña then blew a kiss to her fans before signing off.

(NOTE: Tejano Nation reached out for comment to Jesse Turner, Grupo Siggno, JT Entertainment, and Yvette Cantu, listed as “exclusive manager” for Siggno, but received no response.)

  2. Negative, she’s a fan favorite and Siggno has gone as far as they will in the Tejano industry. Tejano fans are loyal and have always embraced their artists as they explore different genres. Jennifer struggled in her marriage and has raised her children till this day as many women do with a positive attitude. She is and always will be the princess of Tejano so don’t downplay her role or speak for anyone. Please use autocorrect and spellchecker when writing ✍️ on a public website from here on btw……

Being a wife and Mother of 5 alone is a full time job with overtime and then to be a famous singer …she can choose whatever she wants! I think she’s beautiful, talented and I wish her the best in all she does…I’m happy she speaks up for herself and knows what she wants ! People get divorced everyday …we need to worry about our own career and relationships ♡
