Johnny Arreola, former member of the Grammy-winning Tejano group Los Palominos, has been named the morning host on Universal Media Communications Tejano station KUVA 102.3 FM, bringing his unique blend of charm, humor, and musical knowledge to the airwaves.
Arreola, a Uvalde native, is no stranger to the spotlight. As part of Los Palominos, he was instrumental in shaping the Tejano music scene. His smooth vocals and charismatic stage presence have earned him a loyal fan base that spans not just Texas, but the entire country.
Recently, Arreola made the decision to leave Los Palominos, feeling a calling to Christian ministry. He has since been recording solo Christian music albums, sharing his faith through his powerful voice and heartfelt lyrics
Now, Arreola is trading the tour bus for the broadcast booth. As the new morning host on KUVA-FM, he’s reaching out to listeners in a whole new way. From sharing local news and weather updates to spinning the hottest Tejano tracks, Arreola is making mornings in Uvalde a little brighter.
