4th Annual Premios Tejano Mundial – Full Winners List

A recap of the 4th annual awards show that celebrated the best of Tejano music in San Antonio

The fourth annual Premios Tejano Mundial took place on Thursday night (Feb. 8) at the Shrine Auditorium in San Antonio, Texas. The awards show, presented by the Tejano Music Recording Academy, honored the achievements of Tejano artists and industry professionals over the past year. The night was also filled with many performances, including tributes to Lifetime Achievement honorees Patsy Torres and Ruben Ramos and Icon Award winner Bobby Pulido.

Only two artists took home multiple awards as was rising star Gabriella Martinez won Social Artist of the year and Balada Song of the Year for her hit “Amores Como Tu”. Lucky Joe picked up Collaboration of the Year with “Pa’Que No Te Cuenten” featuring Jesse Turner and Norteño Song of the Year for “Cumbias Y Nortenas”.

Other notable winners include Bobby Pulido as Entertainer of the Year, Jay Perez for Album of the Year with “El Patron”, Shelly Lares as Producer of the Year, Jennifer Pena won Crossover Song of the year for “Fuerte”, and Grupo Frontera were named Group/Duo of the Year.

The event also showcased some of the emerging artists in Tejano music, such as Daniella Ramirez, who won Mariachi Song of the year for “No Sabes De Mujeres” and was introduced for her performance by Chris Perez, the former husband of Selena Quintanilla, and signed Ramirez to his Blue Mariachi record label.

The show also featured special performances by some of the stars of Tejano and Conjunto music, such as Stefani Montiel, The Homeboyz, Cezar Omar, and La 45. They performed some of the year’s biggest hits as well as new songs.

The Premios Tejano Mundial are a celebration of Tejano music and culture, which has a rich history and a bright future. The awards show aims to recognize the talent and diversity of Tejano artists and to promote Tejano music to a wider audience. Winners are voted by fans and members of the Tejano Music Recording Academy. The show was streamed online and will be available soon on the Tejano360+ app on Roku.
