
The Guadalupe Tejano Awards are back for their fifth edition, celebrating the best of Tejano music and culture on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Far West in San Antonio, Texas. This year, the competition is fierce, with some of the most popular and talented artists in the industry vying for the coveted trophies. The top nominees are Jay Perez and Marcos Orozco, who each have five nominations, including Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year. They are followed by Joe Lopez, who has four nominations, including Song of the Year and Male Entertainer of the Year.

The nominees for the 5th Guadalupe Tejano Awards were announced on October 16, 2023, after a preliminary round of voting by the public. The top five nominees in notable categories are:
- Male Vocalist of the Year: Marcos Orozco, Ram Herrera, Ricky Guzman III, Jay Perez, and Chente Barrera
- Female Vocalist of the Year: Monica Saldivar, Di Marie, Devin Banda, Marisela Hernandez, and Christi Lux
- Female Entertainer of the Year: Stefani Montiel, Patsy Torres, Madison Pulido, Christi Lux, Isabel Marie Sanchez
- Album of the Year: Jay Perez – El Patron, Marcos Orozco – Intimo, Joe Lopez – Love From The Heart, Lucky Joe – Pa’Que No Te Cuenten, and Mike Gonzalez & The Iconiczz – Te Llevo En Mi Alma
- Single of the Year: Marcos Orozco – “Ya Me Entere”, Lucky Joe – “Mi Guerita”, Jay Perez – “Necesito Odiarte”, Joe Lopez – “Igual Que Ayer”, and Mike Gonzalez & The Iconiczz – “La Unica Mujer”
- New Male Artist of the Year: Danny Farias, El Gallo Dez, Isaac Vidaurri, Johnny Martinez Jr, Ray Ray
- New Female Artist of the Year: Madison Pulido, Cassandra Castillo, Steffanie Martinez, Jenny B, Christi Lux
- Most Promising Band of the Year: Monica Saldivar and The Band, Conjunto Firme, ConXzion, Los Tellez, and Angelica Y Moneda
- Tejano Band of the Year: Joe Lopez y Grupo Mazz, Marcos Orozco Y Rebelde, Jay Perez & The Band, Mike Gonzalez & The Iconiczz, David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales
- Conjunto of the Year: The Homeboyz, Ricky Naranjo Y Los Gamblers, Conjunto Cats, South TX Homies, Los Delta Boyz
- Norteño Band of the Year: Los Palominos, Lucky Joe, Michael Salgado, Mesteno, Ismael Gutierrez Y Su Passion Del Norte

The Guadalupe Awards have recognized the best in Tejano each year since 2019. The event was created by veteran Tejano events promoter Andrew Belmarez and is dedicated to the life and heritage of his late mother Guadalupe M. Belmarez, who passed away in 2015. The awards aim to recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of Tejano artists who have enriched the musical landscape with their talent and passion.
