The Selena Tribute Concert features:
- Isabel Marie Sanchez is a Latin Grammy-nominated Tejano singer from Chicago who now lives in San Antonio, TX. She has been praised for her powerful vocals and her heartfelt renditions of Selena’s songs. She will headline the evening with a spectacular show.
- Courtnie Ramirez is a rising star who has gained popularity online and nationwide with her translations of Selena’s songs into English and Spanish. Her original music reflects her Mexican and Guatemalan heritage and her vibrant personality.
- Mariachi Sirenas, an all-woman mariachi group from Chicago that showcases the rich folkloric tradition of Mexico. They will perform their own versions of Selena’s songs with elegance and flair.
- Rosalba Valdez is a young singer and guitarist who has a passion for music and her Mexican culture. She will bring a fresh and unique style to your favorite Selena songs.
- Angelica Marquez, Luna La Catrina, Venus Carangi, and Ivanna Rubio are four fabulous drag queens who will dazzle you with their fierce and fabulous tributes to Selena. They will make you dance, laugh, and cry with their performances.
The Selena Tribute Concert is a family-friendly event that invites everyone to enjoy a night of music, culture, and fun. You can bring your own picnic or buy food and drinks from the vendors on site. You can also visit the National Museum of Mexican Art’s booth to learn more about their programs and exhibitions.
