Tejano newcomer Ruby Anne teamed with Reggateon rapper WC for the remix of “Ay, Dios Mio,” her cumbia version of the 2020 international hit song from Karol G.
Ruby Anne is a huge fan of the Colombian singer and loved “Ay, Dios Mio” since the first time she heard it. The Brownsville, Texas, native released the original cumbia version in February 2023, which quickly found a spot on many radio charts. Shortly after the release, WC contacted Ruby Anne for an opportunity to remix the track. The duo performed it together at the All-Star Music Awards last May in San Antonio, where Ruby Anne earned Top 5 in the Best Uprising Female category.
