UVALDE, TX — Several Tejano stars and bands will donate their time to support the inaugural Remember Their Names Festival in Uvalde Texas on Sunday, October 30, 2022. Solido, Intenso, Metal featuring Chris Perez, Masizzo, Zinzzero, Estruendo, Fievre Looka, and more are scheduled to perform.
Organizers of this event are immediate friends of the families who lost their loved ones on May 24, 2022, to a mass shooting at Robb Elementary. Several family members that were affected by this horrific tragedy have been helping to make this event possible. The main goal is to give back to the community and honor every single person who passed away so that their names will always be remembered.
There will be a raffle, softball tournament, art contest, cookoff, and so much more. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Remember Their Names Scholarship Fund. Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District applications will go to the parents that lost their loved ones, which will review applications and choose a student to receive a scholarship in memory of their lost loved one. Checks will be presented to students that are chosen for scholarships annually.
The organizer stated that he is very excited about this festival and said that it is so amazing to see everyone want to be a part of it and help just seeing the community come together is such an amazing feeling.
