Fresh off their successful European tour this summer, The Last Bandoleros will release a new single on Friday (Sept. 28), perform on ABC’s Good Morning America, and drop a new album in October.
San Antonio’s native sons shared all the details in an exclusive interview with Jonny Ramirez on Tejano 95.7/103.3 in San Antonio. Brothers Diego and Emilio Navaira IV of The Last Bandoleros revealed the band’s latest news with the legendary Tejano morning personality.
“Vamos A Bailar” is a Spanish version of “Every Time We Dance,” a song from the band’s current album Tex Flex, delivered in June. An album that features a mix of Texas roots and modern Latin flavor.

Tex Mex Folklorico is a companion album to Tex Flex and is scheduled for release on October 28. The lead single will be “Vamos A Bailar” and is included on the disc. But fans of Emilio Navaira may be interested in another song that is part of the upcoming album, a cover of the classic hit “Naciste Para Mi.”
Diego commented, “We were just sitting around one day and I thought it would be nice to do this kind of a softer version of this song and especially since dad wrote it. We thought it would be a great way to honor him and pay tribute to him.”
Emilio Navaira died unexpectedly of a heart attack in 2016.
The Last Bandoleros wrapped a two-month tour in Europe and shared their sounds with fans in Germany, The Netherlands, and Italy. “A dream come true. It’s great to overseas and take our culture over there and see people get into it and really dig it even though they don’t understand Spanish or English,” said the band.

Look for the band to perform on ABC’s Good Morning America from New York City on Thursday, October 6, 2022, in support of the new single, “Vamos a Bailar” (Every Time We Dance) out on Friday, September 30. The trio is scheduled to perform at The Tobin Center in San Antonio on Friday, October 28, for a Día de Los Muertos concert celebration.
