The countdown is on to the biggest night in Tejano music as the 42nd annual Tejano Music Awards will return to an in-person live show after two years of virtual shows due to the pandemic. The Industry Ballot was made available online on Monday (Aug. 22).
The Industry Ballot is only for those in the Tejano music industry — including record labels, media, artists, and management — to vote for artists to be named nominees for the upcoming awards show, produced by the Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA). Official Top 5 nominees for the TMAs will be announced later. The deadline to vote on the Industry Ballot is midnight (12:00 a.m.) on September 18, 2022, at TejanoMusicAwards.com for those qualified to vote. Questions can be directed via email to binog@tejanomusicawards.com.
Each year the Tejano Music Awards recognizes the artistic efforts and achievements of songwriters, performers, and musicians of the Tejano music industry.
TTMA does not submit artists for nominations, all artists on the Industry Ballot were registered by their respective record label, management, or band representative. The sole purpose of the industry vote is to ensure each artist qualifies and then votes for qualified artists to participate in the top 12 for the next round of the public vote.

The 42nd annual will take place on Saturday, November 26, at the new Tech Port Center + Arena, San Antonio’s newest state-of-the-art facility. Tickets are available at techportcenter.com.
