Tejano Nation radio host Romeo (also known as John Henry Medina) returns after a week-long bout with COVID-19.
The host of the Tejano music and culture radio show, which airs weekly on 21 Tejano and Regional Mexican radio stations and 10 internet radio stations across the United States, shared the news of his diagnosis with a tweet last week.
Romeo tweeted on July 7, “Well after thinking I had the flu over 4th of July weekend, it’s confirmed as COVID-19. It started on Saturday as chills, fever, and fatigue, but when I couldn’t smell anything I knew it had to be more than the flu. I’m doing better now, just a cough and still can’t smell.”
Romeo was able to host his daily night show, Tejano Nation Nights, on Townsquare Media Victoria’s Tejano station KLUB 106.9 FM from his home studio in San Antonio last week, as usual. He also voices daily Tejano Nation news segments that are delivered to many Tejano radio stations across the nation each weekday. This week’s Tejano Nation radio show was also distributed as usual.
“Everything will be back to normal this week, Tejano Nation fans will be able to hear the top trending Tejano news and hottest Tejano hits on their favorite radio stations,” said Romeo.
Tejano Nation radio is a two-hour syndicated mix show with the biggest Tejano hits, featuring interviews with today’s hottest Tejano artists and top trending stories from TejanoNation.net, hosted by Romeo and mixed by the best Tejano mix show DJ en la Onda Tejana, Jammin J Javi.
