
McAllen, TX — The inaugural Guadalupe Conjunto Awards recognized the best in Conjunto music over the past year during a ceremony and La Lomita Park in McAllen, Texas on Saturday night (June 25).
Cindy Ramos y Su Conjunto earned three awards, including Conjunto Female Entertainer for Ramos, with Juan “Guero” Garcia was named Drummer of the Year and Javier Solano earned Accordion Player of the Year.
Javier Solis Y Los Unikoz were named Conjunto Band of the Year, while Ramon Lucio earned Conjunto Male Entertainer.
In the music categories, Conjunto icons Los Chamacos won Conjunto Single of the Year for “Como Estas Tu” and rising stars The Homeboyz took home Conjunto Album of the Year for their self-titled debut album.
