Sonja De La Paz is a rising star in the Tejano music scene and the Laredo singer shared her recent journey as a solo artist and current project in an interview with The Mingo Mariano Podcast.

The two-time Premios Tejano Mundial winner discussed the success of her solo career after taking a break as vocalist for Pete Astudillo Y Tekno Mex during the pandemic to work on her solo project with her husband Diego Garcia in a conversation with podcast host and Tejano Nation entertainment correspondent Mingo Mariano.

De La Paz won Best New Artist and Cumbia Pop Song of the Year for her chart-topping solo debut single “Contigo” at the inaugural Premios Tejano Mundial in 2021.
