Rising Tejano band Magnifico 7 are currently working on their sophomore album and lead vocalist Lee Roy Camarillo shares details on the upcoming EP, the musical influences of the band, and much more with the Cruz Control with AC Cruz Behind The Mic Podcast.
Magnifico 7 received a Tejano Music Awards nomination for Best New Group in 2017 with their debut album Solo En La Lluvia. The Gonzales, Texas-based group originated from an idea and musical friends coming together for a one-time performance as a cover tunes band featuring the sounds of the group’s two greatest musical influences — Grammy Award-winning musical groups La Mafia and Xelencia.
Camarillo, who recently recovered from COVID-19, spoke about those musical influences and their sound comparison and when fans can expect the new album.
