David Farias and band members were involved in a tour van accident early Sunday morning after their performance in Dallas, Texas.
According to a social media post early Sunday by Rudy Lopez, San Antonio venue owner and concert promoter, David Farias and members of his band are safe.
“Prayers for David Farias & the band..after leaving their performance tonight out in Dallas, they were hit on their way back home,” read the post. “Gracefully as of right now they are all safe but unfortunately the van has severe damage.”
Family members were en route to pick up the band after the accident, the post added.
David Farias and his band performed at Club Rio in Dallas and were involved in the tour van accident on their way home to San Antonio. The band performed at Lopez’s Southside Expo Hall in San Antonio on Friday night.
Farias released a statement via social media on Sunday. “On behalf of the band and myself, David Farias, we would like to inform everyone that we are all ok,” he said.
According to the statement, the tour van was side-swiped by an SUV in a hit-and-run accident on IH-35 around 3:00 a.m. after Saturday night’s show in Dallas. The van was able to stay under control with no further damages.
“Thank You all for your prayers and concerns,” added Farias. “May God bless everyone!! Special Thank You to Ivan & Linda Gutierrez and Rudy Lopez for helping us in our time of need and in literally a matter of just a few minutes they made calls and took action to make sure we were all safe and taken care of, God bless you all!! We will be forever grateful for your friendship. #DFB We’ll see you soon!!”
