Monica Saldivar talks new single 'Echame a Mi La Culpa', working with Abraham Quintanilla and more with Tejano Nation.

Monica Saldivar is a rising star in Tejano music. The singer won Tejano Idol in 2015 and released a few singles that earned her Best New Female Artist at the My Tejano Awards earlier this year. Now the songstress has released her latest single, “Echame a Mi La Culpa,” produced by Abraham Quintanilla.

Saldivar spoke to Tejano Nation contributor Fanny Gurl during the Tejano Music National Convention last month in Las Vegas, Nevada about her latest release, working with Mr. Q and details on her highly-anticipated debut album. She also shared details on her performance with LA 45 during Vegas Tejano Week.

Fanny Carreon better known as “Fanny Gurl” is currently an on-air personality at KPYT-LP 100.3 Yoeme Radio, “The Voice of the Pasqua Yaqui Tribe” in Tucson, Arizona. The El Paso, Texas Native is the KPYT Tejano Music Director and co-hosts The More Variety Morning Show with Hector Youtsey every Friday from 9-11 a.m. MT. Fanny also covers the Southwest region music and entertainment scene for TejanoNation.Net the premiere website for Tejano music, news and entertainment based out of San Antonio, Texas by conducting interviews on the different artist and bands. Fanny does a segment for the “Rudy Trevino Tejano Gold Countdown” which is heard in over 50 radio stations all over the Country and Mexico. The El Paso, Texas Native is also a Tv Host and does a segment for a local Tv Show on Azteca Tucson called “Estrellas en Arizona”. Fanny has Emcee in many different events including the Tejano Music Fan Fair in San Antonio, Texas. Fanny Gurl has also covered many events in Arizona, New Mexico, Las Vegas, and California. Fanny Gurl’s passion for Tejano music, radio, and Tv has established a large following within the Tejano music world, on the radio, and via the internet.
