Devin Banda delivers with her latest release, “Blue Blood,” a sassy ode to her football team, the Dallas Cowboys.
The bilingual country crossover release features Devin’s versatile voice that nails the country drawl as she shares her passion for “America’s Team.”
“Blue blood running through my veins,” Banda sings. “Por Vida – that’s what Tejanos say!”
The singer, 24, releases “Blue Blood” just weeks after her last release, “La Tejana Enamorada,” a remake of one of Tejano’s iconic anthems from Latin Breed.
According to a press release from Banda, who was nominated for the 2018 Tejano Music Award for Best New Female Artist and Best New Group, the singer’s breakout hit was a Spanish version of Randy Travis’ “I Told You So,” so it’s only natural that the talented vocalist return to her country music roots with this latest exciting hit.
Produced by Latin Grammy winner Severo “Sevy” Contreras, the song features a collaboration of musicians, including Haydn Vitera, fiddle; Michael Guerra, accordion; Joey Sanchez, drums; Steve Roth, bass; Jason Martinez, guitar; and Sevy Contreras and Michal Molini on keys.
A video will follow for “Blue Blood,” with taping set for Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. Banda will be featured this month at the Tejano Music National Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada on Aug. 23 as one of the Rising Artists in the Industry.
