Ricky Naranjo Y Los Gamblers are the first group to sign with AJ Castillo and his new record label G Music.

Castillo made the announcement during an interview with Tejano Nation radio affiliate Fierro 107.5 HD2 before his private performance at the Verizon Artist Lounge in Dallas, Texas on June 27.

“It’s completely different than my music,” said Castillo. “It’s completely different but I talked to Ricky and Ruben, the leaders of Ricky Naranjo Y Los Gamblers, and those guys are doing great. The way the people receive those guys is incredible.”

Castillo performed with Ricky Naranjo Y Los Gamblers for few shows in South Texas and was impressed with the Conjunto band.

“These guys, they sound good already, they just need a little bit of this and a little bit of that and we can take them to another level,” he said. “I feel like I can do that.”

New music is already in the works for the group with Castillo as they are in currently in the studio working on a new record.

“It’s sounding great,”added Castillo. “It’s going to be the best record they’ve ever done.”

No official release date was given for the new single from Ricky Naranjo Y Los Gamblers with their new record label but Tejano Nation will have more details as soon as it becomes available.
