Rick Garcia named CEO of CHR Records

Rick Garcia has been named the new Chief Executive Officer for CHR Records effective immediately, the label announced today (June 21).

Rick Garcia has been named the new Chief Executive Officer for CHR Records effective immediately, the label announced today (June 21).

“We are forever grateful for the time that Charles Hearn devoted to CHR Records,” Garcia said in a statement. “His intelligence and wisdom are truly unmatched. As co-founder of CHR Records/Red Tide Music Group, he will always be part of our musical history. I am excited and honored to be at the helm of our exciting company.”

Garcia has a long and diverse musical background. He is a co-founder of the legendary Hacienda Records and has produced thousands of songs including classics such as Lisa Lopez’s “Si Quieres Verme Llorar” and Ruben Vela’s “Coco Rayado.”

He was inducted into the Tejano R.O.O.T.S. Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Texas Conjunto Music Hall of Fame in 2017 and has received numerous awards.

After over 40 years in the music industry Garcia accepted the position of President in 2017 of the newly formed CHR Records.

CHR Records, a division of Red Tide Music Group, is based in Harlingen, Texas and is home to a diverse roster of talent. Their roster represents various musical genres and hopes to create inspiring and passionate music that defines the truth of today’s generation. Artists include Los Cucuys de Rodney Rodriguez, Los 2Gs de Ruben Garza y Hector Gonzalez, Marlissa Vela, Martina y Conjunto La Suerte, Los Tremendos de George y Oscar, Conjunto Imprezzion and many more talented artists.
