Bobby Pulido shared a photo from a hospital bed after successful surgery on Thursday.
The star captioned the photo on social media with a message in Spanish that said, “Successful operation. Goodbye reflux.”
The operation by Dr. Óscar Cardenas was to help correct a recurring health problem for Pulido. He told fans before the surgery he had been suffering from reflux for many years.
“Reflux is the worst for a singer, it burns the vocal cords and causes many problems,” he said in a video posted to social media.
The 46-year-old singer canceled scheduled shows this month for the operation after he was hospitalized in early May for bronchitis.
Pulido plans to get back on tour after recovery.
“Thank you all for your prayers and good vibes,” he wrote on social media. “Now to rest to continue the tour.”
