A new Netflix movie features a tribute scene to late Tejano star Selena.
“Someone Great” is a Netflix original romantic-comedy starring Gina Rodriguez, DeWanda Wise and Brittany Snow. The film features a scene where the main character, played by Rodriguez, begins singing “Dreaming Of You” by Selena in a bodega and her best friends begin to sing along.
“The greatest thing ever,” Rodriguez told Entertainment Tonight about the scene. “I grew up with Selena, rest in peace, love that — that woman changed so many lives and so to be able to sing that song in the bodega was really dope.”

The rom-com is a story about a music journalist, who breaks up with her longtime boyfriend and recruits her two best friends for one last outrageous adventure in New York City before she moves to San Francisco.
