Megan Chapa shared huge news via social media on Sunday, announcing she was pregnant and told fans her “ultimate dream is here.”
The 31-year-old singer posted a sonogram photo on her Facebook page with the caption, “For everyone that knows me personally, you know I try to keep my very personal life away from social media for a reason but I think the time has come to officially announce that my ultimate dream is here! We have waited patiently to try for this blessing. We are finally expecting our very own princess! Yes, it’s a GIRL!”
Chapa has already picked out a name for her bundle of joy that is due in August.
“We are super excited to meet our little mermaid McKenna Nevaeh,” she added. “Yes, that means little mermaid everything! August couldn’t come any sooner!”
This will be the second child for Chapa and her husband, Ernest.
Chapa, who was nominated for Best New Female Artist at the 2016 Tejano Music Awards, has released three albums. Her latest, Desde El Principio, released in April 2018, is a digital-only release from Mazmorra Records and features the biggest hits from her debut album Mi Diario and her sophomore album Sueños Inquebrantables. It also includes Chapa’s cover of the 1995 Selena hit song “Si Una Vez” and a surprise duet with Richard Rosales of Grupo Siggno entitled “En El Nombre Del Amor,” that was also written and produced by Rosales.
