Cindy Ramos is taking it back to her roots for her upcoming sophomore album Inicios.
The singer recently released the lead single “Toma Mi Corazoncito” from her upcoming album Inicios. The Conjunto track features a different sound for the singer, who released her debut album Quiero Ser in July 2016.

“You know I’m very, very fortunate because this is my second CD and of course I could not forget my producer Lorenzo ‘Papo’ Banda he is amazing,” Ramos told Domingo Live. “He produced my music, this time we revamped everything to more Conjunto.”
“Conjunto is my roots,” she added. “It’s what I grew up listening to, it’s what my dad taught me, it’s what my grandpa taught me, it’s what my grandpa used to sing and it’s in the blood.”
A native of Laredo, Texas, Ramos has a deep love for music and grew up immersed in Tejano and Conjunto music. She cites her musical influences as Laura Canales, Selena, Elsa Garcia, Ruben Vela, Tony De La Rosa, and Linda Escobar, to name just a few.
“It’s amazing that Papo was able to embrace that with me and produce amazing work with something that came from the heart,” she said.
Inicios is scheduled to be released in mid-April.
