Jimmy Gonzalez laid to rest in his hometown of Brownsville [VIDEO]

Family, friends and fans said goodbye for the last time as the Tejano music legend Jimmy Gonzalez was laid to rest in his hometown of Brownsville, Texas on Tuesday.

 

Tejano fans are still mourning the loss of one of the industry’s biggest icons, as Jimmy Gonzalez passed away on June 6 in a San Antonio hospital of cardiac arrest.

The 67-year-old singer and musician was a pioneer, legend and multiple Grammy award winner. He co-founded Grupo Mazz in 1978 and went on to achieve international acclaim as one of the most successful Tejano groups ever.
