La 45 is the Next Generation of Chicanos and the San Antonio-based band talked about their debut EP, Inditia Mia, preserving Chicano music and much more in an exclusive interview with Tejano Nation.

Vocalist and guitarist Mike Torres III spoke with Tejano Nation contributor DJ Peaches after an April performance at the Whoopee Daze Festival in Tolleson, Arizona.

Torres talked about the unique cover of the band’s EP, targeting the younger generation with an English cumbia, a cover of “My Love” by Paul McCartney and much more.

La 45, who signed with VMB Music Group earlier this year, is the next generation of Chicano music as the band pumps young blood and energy into the tradition of the Tejano Orquesta. Learn more about La 45 at their official website La45Music.com.
