Singer Eddie Gonzalez was arrested before his scheduled performance at Tejano Explosion in San Antonio on Thursday night.

The 42-year-old singer was arrested by deputies from the Bexar County Sherrif’s Office after the Texas Attorney General Office filed a warrant for his arrest on a contempt of court charge.

A Bexar County source says that Gonzalez was arrested for failing to pay child support, according to MySA.com.  His bond was set at $5,000.

KSAT.com reports that according to records from the Texas attorney general’s office, Gonzalez owes over $68,000 in back child support to two women.

Gonzalez, known as the “Dancing Cowboy,” has been entertaining Tejano music fans since the early 1990s. His album, Un Poco De Cambio, was nominated for Best Tejano Album at the 46th Grammy Awards in 2003.
