Tejano and Conjunto legend Nick Villarreal passed away on July 30, after suffering cardiac arrest. He was 66.
His mother, Maria Zimmerle-Villarreal, an inspiration for many of his greatest hits, remembers “Nicky Snick” in this interview with Camilla Rambaldi of San Antonio television station WOAI-TV.
