The track was originally recorded as a ballad back in the mid 1990s by recording artist, Ruth.

This upbeat cumbia fuses electronic sounds with smooth accordion riffs all throughout the track. Gonzaba’s smooth but powerful vocals are new and unique to the industry and a fresh sound to radio airwaves.

“I’m excited to be able to work with Ro’ Records in releasing this cumbia, it’s been a long time coming and dream come true,” said Gonzaba.

Between volunteering for community events, and her work filming various segments on San Antonio’s KABB / FOX – TV affiliate, She continues to sing at various events in the central Texas area.

“This year has brought many blessings, and another one I’m very grateful and happy for is co-hosting the upcoming Tejano Music Awards, so many great performers, presenters and special tributes are gonna take place that evening and I’m honored the event organizers considered me to be apart of this event,” added Gonzaba.

Further plans for Erica Gonzaba include a six song Tejano EP release and a contemporary mariachi “boleros” EP with Mariachi Campanas De America, to be released mid-2017.
