Ruben Garza released the cover art for his sophomore album, Tribute Vol. 1, on Monday (September 12).
The cover portrays Garza seated between two empty chairs, one with Ruben Vela‘s accordion below it and the other with Gilberto Garcia‘s accordion.
Garza said this cover is a tribute to his late mentors and Conjunto legends, who have guided him through his 50 years of performing professionally.
Vela passed away at the age of 72 in 2010 and Garcia in 2015, he was 74.
The album is expected to have a tribute Popurri of Ruben Vela songs and a Popurri of songs from Los Dos Gilbertos.
Tribute Volume 1 is due out October 7th.
