New Braunfels, Texas — The investigation into the death of 53-year old Tejano and Country musician Emilio Navaira is complete and the case is now closed, according to the New Braunfels Police Department.
On May 16, 2016, at approximately 8:20pm, Navaira was found unconscious and not breathing by family members at his New Braunfels home. He was transported to Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels where he was then pronounced deceased.
A full investigation into Navaira’s death was conducted by New Braunfels Police Department detectives and it was determined that there was no sign of foul play. Central Texas Autopsy then conducted its investigation and determined that Navaira died due to natural causes, specifically “cardiovascular disease.”
Therefore, the New Braunfels Police Department now considers this case closed.
