Siggno bass player Jacob Turner is fighting for his life in a South Texas hospital after being critically injured in a one car accident on February 8 in Harlingen, Texas.
The 21-year-old musician is still in critical condition after his father, Siggno vocalist and accordionist Jesse Turner, posted an update on his condition via social media on Monday.
“Jacob is still in critical condition, but we are all very hopeful,” Jesse posted on Instagram on Monday. “When I first walked into the hospital at @ 5:30 AM the doctor said, there is nothing we can do to save him, he’s not going to make it, yet he’s here today. It’s a long road to recovery, but he’s amazing isn’t he?”
Jacob was critically injured after crashing his vehicle into a guardrail at a high rate of speed in the early morning hours of February 8 in Harlingen, according to witnesses. The collision caused the vehicle to catch fire. Turner was the only person in the vehicle.
A prayer vigil for Jacob Turner is planned for San Antonio area fans on Tuesday, February 16 at 6:00 p.m. The vigil will be held at Far West night club, located at 2502 Pleasanton Road in San Antonio. Attendees are asked to wear a yellow shirt or the color yellow, a symbol of hope, to the vigil.

All I want to say to Jesse turner is that as a parent I know how it feels to not be able to do anything for your child when they are just there in bed and not responding rapidly like we would want to but God is there to give us that strength that we need to continue fighting everyday slowly and together… Don’t loose your faith talk to him and sing to him he can here you.. It’s hard and painful but he’s your baby and he needs to know that no matter what you are there waiting patiently for him to get better and together you will get through this horrible dream and with the love and prayers of your family and friends you and Jacob will be on stage singing and playing together again like you always did… But for know Jacob comes first and his recovery and don’t worry about anything else because nothing else matters we love you guys you are all awesome!!!! And we are with you guys praying everyday that Jacob gets well soon. Please don’t loose your faith it’s the last thing you want to do…
