lgn-arvTejano Nation television and telenovela contributor La Gringa Novelera a.k.a Karen Curvis was featured on Telemundo’s Al Rojo Vivo on Thursday.

“I had the day of my life meeting the great actress Ximena Duque, star of the Telemundo‬ telenovelas Santa Diabla, Corazon Valiente, Duenos Del Paraiso, La Casa Del Lado, and so many more,” La Gringa Novelera posted on Facebook. “Here is our SURPRISE meeting during my makeover at her spa Duchess and Duque for the Telemundo news show Al Rojo Vivo!”

Curvis began watching telenovelas a couple of years ago to learn Spanish.

“All  I wanted to do was learn Spanish from watching telenovelas, and look what happened,” Curvis says on her website LaGringaNovelera.com.

The lawyer by day began writing about the telenovelas she watched on Twitter and Facebook.

“I am called  ‘La Gringa Novelera’ because even though I am still only learning Spanish from telenovelas, like a novela miracle, I understand everything that is happening, and I love to tell people about them, even if they don’t want to  listen,” she added.
