Thirteen-year-old singer Alondra Santos performed the Tejano classic “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” by Selena during the quarterfinals of NBC’s America’s Got Talent on Tuesday night.
The performance by the Mariachi singer was filled with vibrant colors and great choreography, along with Santos’ soulful sounds.
Santos, was originally eliminated during the Judge’s cuts, but returned in the quarterfinals as a replacement for competitors that withdrew from the competition. She finished in sixth, seventh, or eighth place in America’s Vote. In the Dunkin’ Save, she received fewer online votes than fellow contestant Samantha Johnson. In the Judges’ Choice, although Howie Mandel did not vote for her, Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, and Mel B did, sending Santos to the semifinals.
Some may remember her as a singing contestant on other television competition shows, including Tengo Talento Mucho Talento and La Voz Kids.
