In the ‪#‎Telemundo‬ telenovela ‪#‎BajoelMismoCielo‬, Adela Morales helped her new boyfriend Carlos Martinez who is also the love of her life and who was also her crime victim, to find his son Rodrigo in prison.

This is very generous of Adela since she knows Rodrigo wants her killed.

Rodrigo was very annoyed when his father showed up for a prison visit without the mandatory drugs, whiskey or steaks that every visitor is required to bring.

On top of that, Rodrigo was angry that it took his father so long to find him in the California State Prison system because it’s all pretty much online now.

And then, to add insult to injury, poor Carlos did not know that Rodrigo, like Prince, insists on being called by only one name, and it is not his birth-name.  It’s “El Faier.”

When an empty-handed Carlos called him “Rodrigo,” an angry El Faier would not hug him back, and called for a guard to throw Carlos out.

Like it was the Ritz Hotel instead of Folsom Prison, like El Faier is a wealthy guest and not a prisoner, and like the guard was a doorman.

El Faier was too hard on Carlos, if you ask me.

First of all, Carlos is the most honest man in the world and did not know the First Rule of Prison:
Visitors Bring Contraband.

Second, when did Carlos have time to learn Rodrigo’s nickname?
He just found out where he was!

And I’ll tell you something else: No one is exactly beating down the prison doors to visit old El Faier either.
He’s not exactly the most popular guy in La Colonia.

Who couldn’t use someone new to put on the Visitor List?

I’ll tell you what:
I wish Carlos and Adela would get married RIGHT AWAY. Ahora mismo, and I’ll tell you why:
If Adela was El Faier’s stepmother, then even though he is her sworn enemy, he could probably get out of killing her under the famous “Step-exception.”
Or “Stepception,” as it is more commonly known.

I’m not saying their first Thanksgiving together will be easy, especially when El Faier sees Adela near a hot stove,
but
it will all work OK because even if El Faier intentionally holds Adela’s hand down over the flame in between courses while Adela’s screams of pain pierce the Thanksgiving frivolity, his girlfriend Greicy Cordero the prison nurse can patch Adela right up.

And on another note, nothing makes me happier than the great Erica de la Rosa up to the tricks she excels at as Felicia Méndez, Carlos’ two-year long one-night stand.

I was worried that Felicia would be a good person because she and Carlos met in church, but GRACIAS A DIOS, Felicia is as nutty and evil as ever.

She has her brother the detective wrapped around one finger, and Crazy Willy, the guy who she tricked into killing her evil husband by promising to
go with him to his cousin’s Quinciniera,
who stalks her, blackmails her, tries to run her over, and occasionally punches her in face to get her attention, wrapped around the other.

Right now she has put her policeman brother to work finding “Mati,” aka Adela, but he thinks it’s for a good cause because he is devoted to her.

I met the actor who plays Cristobal Mendez, Jose G. Cortinez, on the Red Carpet premiere for #BajoelMismoCielo, and he was just as gracious and handsome as you would expect.
We agreed that in a novela, usually the policeman has the second-hardest job in the show because he has to be everywhere, trying to keep all of the lunatic cast members from killing themselves and each other, but that his role is further complicated by having a wacky and dangerous sister like Felicia.

(Wondering what the hardest job is in a novela? The PRIEST, because he has to do everything the policeman does, but he has to resist the women too.)

Once her brother the policeman finds Adela, then she will have Willy kill her, in exchange for dinner and a movie.

Maybe a kiss, but definitely no tongue.

This telenovela is so great and gets better every day!

I’ve also added a photo of Juan Pablo Llano who is also in ‪#‎BEMC‬, but we haven’t seen him yet, but I got to talk to him on The Red Carpet and he was AWESOME, and he is nominated for a Premios Tu Mundo, but so are a lot of the actors in this great cast!

So don’t forget to vote!
Vota ya!
