Preview: All-Star Tejano Benefit for Pettey Gomez at Texas Club Bar and Grill

(AustinVida) – Today, Tejanos will once again come together to help a friend in need with a massive all-star benefit concert in their honor. This afternoon, some of Tejano’s biggest stars will perform at the Texas Club Bar and Grill, and help out Pettey (“pee-tee”) Gomez at the same time.

Gomez, a member of the road crew for Ruben Ramos and the Mexican Revolution and a longtime friend of the Ramos family, was severely injured in a car accident earlier this year. His injuries have required major surgeries with more to come, along with extensive therapy and rehab.

Scheduled to perform are:

Ruben Ramos and the Mexican Revolution, Max Baca, David Farias, David Marez, Hugo Guerrero, Los A-T Boyz, JR Gomez, Chris Castaneda, and Beyond Therapy. I’m sure there will probably be more special guests for this event, so don’t be surprised if someone drops in here and there.

Long story short: There will be food, raffles and prizes, so it looks to be not only a great cause but probably something dads would like as well. And the music? Incredible – Tejano, Conjunto, and more.

The Texas Club Bar and Grill is located on Burleson Road just south of Ben White Boulevard in southeast Austin. Things get started at 3 p.m. and 21+ are welcome. Cover charge is $15 all day and all night. For more information call (512) 801-9320.
