Rising Tejano singer Veronique Medrano is the grand prize winner of “The Voice of the Valley” contest and will audition for NBC’s “The Voice” in Chicago on February 21 and 22.
The “Lloraras” singer and 2014 TTMA nominee won the Rio Grande Valley contest on Friday, sponsored by KVEO-TV and Shah Eye Center, for her shot to sing for the producers of the TV singing competition.
KVEO-TV announced the winner via Facebook on February 13.
“Congratulations to Veronique Medrano of Brownsville! She is the grand prize winner of The Voice Auditions (RGV). News Center 23 and Shah Eye Center are sending her and a guest to Chicago, where she will get to audition with producers for The Voice! Good Luck, Veronique!!!”
Veronique will talk about her upcoming events, including “The Voice” Auditions in Chicago, Sombrero Festival, and the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show, with BNet Tejano Radio host Dave Biondi on Wednesday, February 18th at noon CT. You can listen to BNet Tejano Radio by clicking here.
