In 2026, fans around the world are honoring Selena with a wave of tributes, celebrations, and special releases that highlight her enduring influence. Among the most notable is her GRAMMY Award-winning Live! album, newly remastered and now available in immersive Dolby Atmos audio across all major streaming platforms. The project has also been reissued in multiple collectible formats, including 2LP vinyl, picture disc vinyl, Target exclusive vinyl, and CD, all currently available for pre-order.

Adding to the celebration, Selena’s groundbreaking album Amor Prohibido has officially been inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame—an honor recognizing recordings of lasting qualitative and historical significance. The milestone will be celebrated during a special gala on May 8, 2026, cementing the album’s place as one of the most influential Latin music releases of all time.

Fans visiting the GRAMMY Museum can also experience Selena’s legacy firsthand. Her Live! album is currently on display as part of the exhibit “From Texas To The World,” which showcases her global impact on music, fashion, and culture. Due to overwhelming demand, the museum has extended its popular pop-up exhibitSelena: From Texas To The World, through May 11, 2026—making it one of the most successful exhibits in the institution’s 18-year history.

Collectors and longtime supporters can also explore a growing catalog of commemorative releases through Universal Music Latino, including 30th-anniversary editions of Dreaming of You and Amor Prohibido on vinyl, CD, and cassette. Exclusive pressings of classic albums like Entre A Mi Mundo continue to keep Selena’s music alive for both devoted fans and new listeners alike.

The past year also brought a deeply personal look into Selena’s life with the release of the Netflix documentary Selena y Los Dinos: A Family’s Legacy. The film offers an intimate portrait of her journey, artistry, and family roots, earning widespread acclaim and multiple awards during its festival run before reaching a global audience.

These ongoing tributes arrive during a time of reflection for the Quintanilla family, following the passing of Selena’s father, Abraham Quintanilla, in December 2025. His role in shaping Selena’s career and preserving her legacy remains immeasurable.

Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla, says the continued releases are helping introduce the icon to a new generation of fans. “There’s a whole new generation that is discovering Selena or that has discovered her already,” she shared. “It’s breathing life back into older songs that have not been heard as much.”

That new generation includes some of today’s biggest stars. Global sensation Karol G has openly expressed her admiration, saying, “I became a super fan of Selena. I have like the albums, the CDs. I have everything from her. I even got a tattoo.” Meanwhile, pop star Becky G reflected on Selena’s cultural impact, calling her “the epitome of everything that I needed growing up… that Spanglish life—you don’t have to choose.”

From Tejano to pop, Selena’s influence can be felt across genres, inspiring artists like Cardi B and Sabrina Carpenter, as well as the next wave of Tejano stars carrying her torch into the future.

More than three decades after her passing at just 23 years old, Selena’s words continue to echo: “I want to be remembered not only as an entertainer but as a person who cared a lot, and I gave the best that I could.”

And that she did.

Her music still fills dance floors. Her style still sets trends. Her story still inspires millions.

Long live Selena. Long live the Queen of Tejano.
