The tour officially kicks off June 20, 2026, at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas — a city deeply rooted in the band’s history and success. Produced by Bird Promotions in collaboration with Cielo Entertainment, the tour is designed as an exclusive, one-show-per-month experience, with special guest announcements to be revealed city by city.

“Thirty-five years is something we never imagined when we first started,” Los Palominos shared in a press release. “This tour is our way of thanking the fans who have supported us every step of the way.”

During Thursday’s press conference at Bert Ogden Arena, lead singer and bajo player James Arreola expressed excitement about the concept behind the celebration.

“I think that we came up with a great, great concept,” Arreola said. “The 35th anniversary is going to be a big celebration of La Música de Los Palominos. It will give us a chance to put our music on a different level — not just musically, but I think it’ll give people a chance to see Los Palominos like they’ve never seen before.”

He added that fans can expect surprises and a renewed focus on deep cuts from their extensive catalog.

“Thirty-five years gives you a chance to record so much music. Through the years, you forget about these songs. Now this gives us a chance to go back and bring some of this music back,” he said. “I think people are going to be really, really surprised.”

Formed in 1989 in Uvalde, Texas, Los Palominos rose from regional dance halls to become one of the most decorated and influential groups in modern Tejano music. Blending traditional conjunto roots with contemporary production and romantic balladry, the band carved out a signature sound that resonated across generations. Their consistency on the charts, relentless touring schedule, and deep connection with fans earned them one Grammy Award and three Latin Grammy Awards. Over three and a half decades, Los Palominos have recorded an extensive catalog of hits that helped define the Tejano movement of the 1990s and 2000s, solidifying their place among the genre’s elite.

Beyond the Texas arena and theatre dates, the anniversary celebration will extend far past traditional concert venues. Plans are underway for a special multi-day ocean cruise experience in November, the Vegas Tejano Takeover in July, and an international celebration date in Mexico. Additional details are expected to be announced in phases throughout the year.

Arreola also emphasized the importance of the Rio Grande Valley in the band’s journey.

“The Valley has been a big, big part of our career,” he said. “This is our way of thanking people for supporting our music this long.”

With more shows still to be announced across Texas and beyond, Los Palominos are promising a year-long celebration that honors their past while pushing their music forward.

After 35 years, the message is clear: Los Palominos aren’t just celebrating a milestone — they’re redefining it.
