Dallas, TX — Six-time Tejano Music Awards winner Monica Saldivar kicks off 2026 with power, poise, and purpose as she officially releases “Dulce Venganza” to radio. The dramatic new single showcases Saldivar at her most fearless, delivering an emotionally charged performance that transforms heartbreak into calculated payback through the lens of a bold, mariachi-driven ballad.
“Dulce Venganza” tells the story of a woman betrayed at her most vulnerable moment. Instead of acting on impulse, she chooses patience—allowing the pain to simmer as she quietly waits for the perfect moment to reclaim her power. The lyrics explore the intoxicating pull of revenge: sweet, dangerous, and deeply human. Beneath the surface, themes of deception, pride, faith, and guilt add emotional depth, reminding listeners that even justified vengeance carries moral weight.
Saldivar brings intensity, conviction, and elegance to every line, proving once again why she remains one of the most compelling voices in Tejano music today. The track was written by Eduardo “Yayo” Anguiano and Ivan Puente, and produced by Carlos H. Alvarez and Jorge Hernandez. Adding to its authenticity and grandeur, the song features mariachi musicians from the acclaimed ensemble Mariachi Campanas de America.
Speaking with Tejano Nation Radio host Romeo, Saldivar shared insight into the song and its origins from her latest album “III (Tres)”:
“I had a pretty cool power team with me with this song. And the song basically is about betrayal, but also vengeance, right? It’s in the name for sure. I had always wanted to do a mariachi song, and so this is my very first original mariachi song, and I hope that everybody takes it well, or for the people that feel this way or have a heartbreak, you know, they can connect to this song in some kind of way.”
On collaborating with Mariachi Campanas de America, Saldivar emphasized how important it was to honor the genre properly:
“It was awesome. I’m very grateful for that opportunity, especially if I was going to do a mariachi song, I wanted to do it right, you know, and there’s no better way of doing it than with them.”

“Dulce Venganza” arrives on the heels of a standout awards season for Saldivar. At the 45th Tejano Music Awards last November, she took home three honors—Best Female Artist, Video of the Year, and Collaboration of the Year with Texas Latino.
“Yes, I got my three Tejano Music Awards this year. It was incredible,” Saldivar said. “Best Female Artist, Video of the Year, and Collaboration of the Year with Texas Latino, and I love them so much. They were awesome with the other project that we did together, and so it’s been an incredible year for sure.”
Looking ahead, Saldivar shows no signs of slowing down in 2026.
“The plans for the rest of the year is to perform as much as possible, but also get back into the studio and release some new music for you guys.”
With “Dulce Venganza” now impacting radio, Monica Saldivar opens the year with a statement piece—one that blends tradition, emotion, and unapologetic strength, further cementing her place at the forefront of modern Tejano music.
