Fans Can Now Vote for 6th Annual Premios Tejano Mundial

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Tejano music fans now have a voice in honoring their favorite artists as public voting officially opens for the fan categories of the 6th annual Premios Tejano Mundial, one of the genre’s premier award celebrations held in San Antonio, the “Tejano Music Capital of the World”.

Fans can cast their votes in the following fan-selected categories: Entertainer of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Group/Duo of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Social Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year (Homenaje). Voting is limited to one nominee per category and is available online at tejanomundial.com. Public voting closes Friday, January 16, 2026, at 12 p.m. CT.

Nominees in the fan categories were selected by a panel of Tejano music experts using criteria that included artistic excellence, musical impact, and cultural relevance. Winners will be determined through a combination of fan votes and ballots submitted by members of the Academy of Tejano Music.

Industry categories—such as vocal performance, songwriting, engineering, production, and Songs of the Year—will be determined exclusively by Academy voting members. Meanwhile, Video of the Year will be selected by a specialized committee.

The winners will be announced during the 6th annual Premios Tejano Mundial awards ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium (901 N Loop 1604 Acc Rd.). The evening will feature live performances by top Tejano artists, along with special tributes and presentations celebrating the genre’s legacy and future.
