The next chapter in the rapid rise of Savannah V is here. The Tejano Music Awards–winning artist has officially premiered the music video for her latest single, “Dos Amantes,” a bold and emotionally charged release that pays tribute to the classic Tejano sound of the 1970s and 1980s.
The original track was produced by Severo “Sevy” Contreras at Slackmonster Studios in San Antonio, Texas, where Savannah V and her longtime collaborator brought the timeless story to life. In a recent interview with Tejano Nation Radio host Romeo, Savannah described the song as “a beautiful, powerful track” that instantly transported her back to Tejano’s golden era.
“Dos Amantes is a beautiful song. The words are beautiful. When I first heard it, I was kind of skeptical, but it felt so powerful,” Savannah V shared. “I’m a very risky type of girl, and I’ve done songs that a lot of other artists wouldn’t dare touch. This one is raw, authentic, and definitely more in my realm.”
The song was originally brought to Savannah and Contreras by James Jimenez, who immediately recognized its potential. Once Savannah stepped into the studio, she quickly connected with the lyrics, which explore love, sin, and the emotional conflict that comes with complicated relationships.
“It’s about what happens when you’re not sure of yourself and, instead of loving yourself, you’re loving two other people,” she explained. “You ask God for forgiveness, and I think so many women — and even men — can relate to that. It’s become like a new women’s anthem already.”
Since its release, “Dos Amantes” has struck a deep chord with fans, many of whom have reached out to Savannah to share their personal connections to the song.
“I even had a lady tell me, ‘Thank you for writing my story,’ and that really touched me,” she said.
Known for her fearless and bold approach to music, Savannah V carried that same intensity into the visual treatment for “Dos Amantes.” Calling herself a “novela type of girl,” she promised a music video rich with storytelling, emotion, and drama. The video delivers on that promise, portraying the timeless struggle of a woman torn between two loves — two hearts pulling her in opposite directions.
Savannah V’s visual storytelling has already earned top industry recognition. She won Video of the Year at the 39th Tejano Music Awards in 2019 for “Loca Peligrosa,” a project filmed by award-winning director Ryan Bazan. Bazan once again teamed up with Savannah V to film the “Dos Amantes” music video, continuing a creative partnership known for cinematic, emotionally driven visual.

For Savannah V, the project represents more than just a new release — it reflects her personal journey and growth as an artist.
“Throughout my journey, I’ve learned something powerful: When life places stones in your path, you can choose to build walls or you can choose to build a legacy. Every challenge, every whisper, every moment of doubt has pushed me to create something bigger — something with purpose, passion, and heart.”
That strength continues to shape what’s next. Fans can also look forward to a new full-length album from Savannah V in the coming months. While the project remains untitled, she promises it will be carefully crafted to deliver an authentic Tejano experience.
“When you’re creating an album, it has to fit like a glove,” Savannah said. “I didn’t want to just put out an EP. I wanted to give Tejanos what they’re used to — a full album.”
With “Dos Amantes,” Savannah V once again proves she’s unafraid to take risks, tell real stories, and honor Tejano music’s rich legacy — all while confidently carving out her place in its future.
