Jennifer Peña has gifted fans a special new release—a live acoustic version of her cumbia “Cuidado Carnal,” one of the standout songs from her acclaimed comeback album Superación. The stripped-down rendition brings fresh emotional depth to a track that already carries a meaningful creative thread between Peña and her longtime collaborator, Machy De La Garza, founder and lead vocalist of the Grammy-nominated all-female cumbia group La Conquista.
Peña and De La Garza first connected in the early 2000s while working under Q Productions, forming a musical sisterhood that has endured for more than two decades. Their chemistry continues to shine on Superación, which includes another co-written track, “Malo.” The song helped propel the album to No. 1 on the iTunes Latin Albums Chart within hours of its release on October 31—a milestone that marked a deeply personal and emotional victory for Peña as she reclaimed her place in both Tejano and Latin pop.

Superación is Peña’s first studio album since 2007’s Dicen Que El Tiempo, closing a powerful 16-year chapter dedicated to personal growth, family, and self-discovery. Since relaunching her music career in 2023, the “Princess of Tejano” has released a steady stream of fan favorites, including the soul-stirring ballad “Atada” and the bold, cumbia-pop anthem “Wakala.” Each release has reaffirmed her renewed artistic drive and deep connection with the fans who have supported her since the beginning.
Known globally for her powerful vocals and iconic presence, Peña continues to build on a career that spans generations—from her early days leading Jennifer y Los Jetz to delivering timeless hits like “El Dolor de Tu Presencia,” “Abrázame y Bésame,” and “Hasta el Fin del Mundo.” With more than 10 million records sold and a history of GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY nominations, she remains one of the most cherished voices in Tejano music.
Peña is also back on the road with her El Camino Tour, continuing November 22 in Odessa, Texas, before heading to Monterrey, Mexico, on December 13. The tour extends into 2026 with additional dates across Texas—including Midland, Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas—as well as stops in Florida, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and more.
With the success of Superación and fresh music now stirring even more anticipation, Jennifer Peña shows no signs of slowing down. Her reign continues—and the next chapter of her iconic legacy is only just beginning.
