Tejano icon Bobby Pulido has officially received a 2026 GRAMMY nomination in the category of Best Música Mexicana Album (Including Tejano) for his acclaimed live project, Bobby & Friends – Una Tuya y Una Mía (Por La Puerta Grande – En Vivo). The announcement, made earlier this week by The Recording Academy, honors the Texas-born artist as he bids farewell to the stage after a remarkable three-decade career.

The live album — produced by Pulido and José Luis Cornejo — features 30 songs capturing the energy and emotion of Pulido’s farewell performances. The project brings together an impressive lineup of guest stars, including David Bisbal, Alicia Villarreal, Bronco, Majo, Caloncho, Luis Padilla, El Plan, Jennifer Peña, Kevin Aguilar, Los Rojos, David Olivarez, Guardianes del Amor, Kinky, Los Socios del Ritmo, and of course, Roberto Pulido, Bobby’s legendary father and musical inspiration.

This marks Pulido’s second career Grammy nomination — his first came in 2004 for his album “Móntame.” Two decades later, his latest recognition serves as a fitting “golden closure” to a 30-year musical journey filled with hits, packed concerts, and a legacy that helped define modern Tejano music.

In an emotional message shared on social media, Pulido reflected on the honor:

“As this chapter of my music journey comes to a close, life continues to surprise me in the most beautiful ways. To now be nominated for a GRAMMY for Una Tuya, Una Mía (Por La Puerta Grande) is truly an honor beyond words. This album was born out of love—for the music, for the friendships, and for the fans who have been part of this story since the very beginning. What started as a farewell project has now become one of the most meaningful moments of my career. To my family, my band, my team, my record label, and every person who has been part of this journey… thank you for believing, creating, and giving your heart right alongside mine. And to The Recording Academy, thank you for recognizing Tejano music and the legacy it represents.”

The nomination also carries deep significance for the Tejano community. “Bobby & Friends – Una Tuya y Una Mía (Por La Puerta Grande – En Vivo)” is the first Tejano album to receive a GRAMMY nomination in more than five years, since Intocable’s Percepción (2020) and Los Texmaniacs’ Cruzando Borders (2019). Over the past several years, Tejano music has often been overlooked by the Recording Academy, despite its vibrant sound, loyal fan base, and undeniable cultural impact.

For Pulido — often celebrated as the “Golden Boy of Tejano” — this recognition is more than a nomination; it’s a career-defining tribute to his legacy and the enduring power of Tejano music.

The 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, broadcast live on CBS from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

As Bobby Pulido steps away from the stage, he does so “por la puerta grande” — with gratitude, grace, and one more unforgettable milestone for Tejano music history.
