SAN ANTONIO, TX — Iconic Tejano group Ricardo Castillon y La Diferenzia have officially dropped the teaser for their highly anticipated docu-style series, Nuestro Viaje, Our Journey — a captivating new project that takes fans deep inside the band’s story, both onstage and beyond the spotlight.
Produced by Ricardo Castillon and Grammy Award-winning saxophonist and producer Fabian Hernandez, the series promises an unfiltered, behind-the-scenes look at life on the road — from the laughter and late-night moments to the challenges and triumphs that have shaped La Diferenzia’s enduring legacy.
“This show is about more than concerts,” says frontman Ricardo Castillon. “It’s about who we are, how far we’ve come, and why we still love doing this.”
Nuestro Viaje highlights the band’s brotherhood, the stories behind their music, and the real-life journey of one of Tejano’s most beloved groups. Fans will witness the humor, heart, and heritage that define La Diferenzia’s legacy — a celebration of decades of passion and perseverance in regional music.
The teaser is now live on all official Ricardo Castillon y La Diferenzia social media platforms, offering fans the first glimpse of a show that blends emotion, authenticity, and nostalgia. Full episodes are set to premiere soon, marking a new chapter for the legendary band.
The group reflects, “Nuestro Viaje (Our Journey) isn’t just a show — it’s our story. From long nights on the road to moments in the studio, it’s a look at the real side of chasing the dream together. The music, the laughs, the struggles — it’s all part of the journey that keeps us moving.”

The series arrives shortly after the band’s triumphant return with their comeback album, Renacimiento del Phoenix, a fiery 12-track project that captures the essence of their classic ’90s sound infused with new energy and depth. The album’s title — which translates to “Rebirth of the Phoenix” — symbolizes La Diferenzia’s resurgence after years of growth and musical exploration.
“We went back to our roots for this album,” Castillon shared. “Over the last 15 years, I experimented with various sounds, but they never captured the true essence of La Diferenzia. Now, we’re back and stronger than ever. This is the sound that made La Diferenzia a household name in the ’90s.”
With Nuestro Viaje, Our Journey and Renacimiento del Phoenix, Ricardo Castillon y La Diferenzia reaffirm their place as one of Tejano’s most iconic and influential acts — honoring their past while blazing forward into a bold new era.
Welcome to Nuestro Viaje. This is just the beginning.
