SAN ANTONIO, TX — The Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) has officially opened submissions for the 45th Annual Tejano Music Awards (TMA), celebrating the best in Tejano music. This year’s awards will take place in San Antonio this fall, with the exact date to be announced soon.
The eligibility period for entries runs from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024, with submissions due no later than Sunday, August 31, 2025. Artists, record companies, and representatives are encouraged to submit their recordings, ensuring they were officially released within the qualifying period.
In addition to fan-favorite categories like Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Male and Female Vocalist of the Year, Best Collaboration, and New Artists, this year introduces an exciting new category: Tejano / Country Song of the Year. This addition recognizes the growing influence of crossover sounds, welcoming both new and established artists whose music blends Tejano roots with country stylings.
The awards process will include three phases: nominations (August 11–31, 2025), industry voting (September 8–21, 2025), and general public voting (September 29–October 12, 2025). Final nominees will be announced online, with winners revealed at the 45th Annual Tejano Music Awards in San Antonio.
